How is soap made?
Soap is made through a careful blending of water, sodium hydroxide, and any of a variety of oils, all measured and blended in very specific ratios.
There are many different types and methods of soap making. Herbal Art uses advanced soap-casting techniques, without the use of lye. Lye is a hazardous element.
We have developed our own medium of soap, without the use of any detergents, chemicals, alcohols, or synthetics. This medium results in a natural soap, made with organics!
How long do your candles last?
Our candles burn for approximately 60 hours.
What about animal testing?
We do absolutely NO testing on animals, and we use NO animal fats (from the actual animal) or animal by-products in any of our products.
We only practice “vegetarian” standards.
What are essential and fragrance oils?
Essential oils are highly concentrated oils derived from plants, each carrying its own scent and beneficial properties. Fragrance oils may be strictly synthetic, or most often will be a combination of synthetics and essential oils (as in many perfumes.) Fragrance oils allow soap makers to diversify and expand their line of options.
Will these natural products adversely affect me?
They should not. All of Herbal Art’s soaps and skin care products utilize the finest ingredients possible, and all of our soaps are tested and verified as pH-neutral (range). We have products that are also beneficial in the aid of eczema and psoriasis. We have found that even people with sensitive skin can use our soaps and skin care products with excellent results, and many have told us that they can use our products, whereas they have been unable to use others in the past. However, should you have any adverse reaction, please discontinue use and inform us immediately.
